Automatic Pool Covers
There are two types of automatic pool covers, the Under Track unit and the Top Track unit.
The under track system is for new pool construction while the top track system is for
existing pools.  Both units are safety covers and will help with pool maintenance, such as
keeping the pool cleaner, lowering operating costs, and reduce heating costs.

The Under Track System
The under track unit provides a clean look, in that the track is under a cantilevered coping
and the unit and motor are in a below-deck housing. The Under Track System includes
the following:
-- Key Switch Operation
-- Motor
-- Cover
-- Track
-- Additional Hardware
-- Auto-stop Limit Switches
-- Unit Installation

**An electric run is required to the key switch and motor housing.  Also, drainage is

needed in the motor housing.  These things are normally done by the

contractor during the construction phase of the pool.

The Top Track System
The top track unit has the track and motor housing on top of the deck, with the motor and
wind-up tube covered with a bench. There cannot be any obstacles in the way of the track,
such as rocks, waterfalls, and certain types of hand rails. Also, the pool must all be one
level in most cases. The Top Track System includes the following:
-- Key Switch Operation
-- Motor
-- Cover
-- Track
-- Additional Hardware
-- Auto-stop Limit Switches
-- Bench Frame Only
-- Unit Installation

**An electric run is required to the key switch and motor housing (separate charge).
Also, sufficient decking is required for the top track system. Bench material and

installation are a separate charge by Aquagard.
